About Us

Experience education like never before. Your journey starts here.

November in Review:

Our Band and Choir did an amazing performance of their Veterans Day Concert at The Peaks Senior Living Community as well as for our school. Sechrist's very own preschool teacher, Ms. Gray was nominated for Teacher of the Year! Our kindergarten friends spent time eating pie and learning with their 4th grade buddies. First graders marched through the hallways in the Balloons Over Sechrist Parade showing off characters from recent books they have read. The 2nd grade class concluded their Greek ELA unit with Potato Olympics. Third graders entertained families and fellow students with their Anansi and the Moss Covered Rock musical. Our 4th graders competed in the Battle of the Books finals for this semester and finished their Veterans Day essays. Some of them even got to share at the concert! Finally, the 5th graders collected 167 turkeys and $467 during their snowy turkey drive the week before Thanksgiving Break. We were also grateful to partner with Cub Scout Pack 7033 as they provided sides for families to have a complete Thanksgiving dinner.

If you haven't already started following us on Instragram or Facebook, we would love to share more up-to-date information with you. It is also a great way for our families and friends to see all the wonderful things happening at Sechrist.

 Every Day Counts

Every Day Counts

At Flagstaff Unified School District, we believe that Every Day Counts when it comes to your child’s learning and growth. We want every student to be engaged, happy, and successful —A child between the ages of six (6) and sixteen (16) is required to attend school during the school's hours.  The student's parent/legal guardian is required to notify the school regarding the student's absence.  The District requires the parent or legal guardian to provide at least one telephone number, if available.  The District requires that the telephone number, if available, be given at the time of enrollment of the student in school and that the school of enrollment be promptly notified of any change in the telephone number. The student's school shall make a reasonable effort to promptly notify the student's parent or other custodial adult by telephone that their student is absent without excuse or without proper notice.
