November in Review:
Our Band and Choir did an amazing performance of their Veterans Day Concert at The Peaks Senior Living Community as well as for our school. Sechrist's very own preschool teacher, Ms. Gray was nominated for Teacher of the Year! Our kindergarten friends spent time eating pie and learning with their 4th grade buddies. First graders marched through the hallways in the Balloons Over Sechrist Parade showing off characters from recent books they have read. The 2nd grade class concluded their Greek ELA unit with Potato Olympics. Third graders entertained families and fellow students with their Anansi and the Moss Covered Rock musical. Our 4th graders competed in the Battle of the Books finals for this semester and finished their Veterans Day essays. Some of them even got to share at the concert! Finally, the 5th graders collected 167 turkeys and $467 during their snowy turkey drive the week before Thanksgiving Break. We were also grateful to partner with Cub Scout Pack 7033 as they provided sides for families to have a complete Thanksgiving dinner.
