The Sechrist Library Media Center is a vibrant space where students are inspired to explore, discover, and grow as lifelong readers and learners. Our goal is to nurture a love of reading and to help students become confident and capable users of information.

The Library Media Center serves approximately 520 preschool through 5th-grade students, along with their families and teachers. Each class visits the library weekly for scheduled library time and technology instruction. In addition, students are welcome to visit independently for book checkout, research, special projects, and computer access.
Our library is always bustling with activity, and we welcome extra hands! If you're a parent, grandparent, or community member with time to give, we'd love your support with shelving books, assisting students, or helping with special events.

Kindergarten & 1st Grade: Students may check out one book at a time, provided they have returned their previous book.
2nd – 5th Grade: Students may check out up to two books at a time.
📚 During classroom literature units or research projects, students may check out more than two books as needed to support their learning.
All students are responsible for returning their books on time and in good condition.
If books are overdue, students must return them before borrowing new ones.
If a book is lost or damaged, it must be paid for or replaced before additional materials can be checked out.
We encourage families to help students keep track of due dates and treat library materials with care. Together, we can help students develop responsibility and a lifelong love of reading!
