Recent Highlights
March was Music in Our Schools Month. Thank you to our amazing staff who has worked so hard to highlight the talents of our Band and Choir students. Ms. Leung, Ms. Kaitlyn, Ms. Kragness and Mrs. Palmer have spent countless hours surrounding our students with the love of music throughout the entire year. The pictures below are from last Tuesday night's Governing Board meeting where some of our choir members performed. "Your efforts to positively impact students through access to quality music education are valued and appreciated." ~Superintendent Penca
We are all geared up for the Trojan Trot! We hope you will join us on April 24th to cheer on our trotters as they run the track to earn money for our school. Proceeds go towards supplemental classroom resources, playground and recreation equipment, STEAM Depot needs and more! Please keep an eye out for more information. If you would like to help with the Trojan Trot or know of a business who would like to sponsor, please email sechristelementarypto@gmail.com.
We will start our class placement process within the next few weeks. Therefore, we would like to offer you this link to our Family Input Form for the 2026-2027 school year. This form is due by Friday, April 10th please. Hard copies are available in the office. In addition to this form, we take teacher and staff input into account when creating the most balanced classes for the upcoming school year. The intent of this form is to help us understand your perspective of the "best fit" teacher for your child. It is not a way to "request" one specific teacher. Please use this input form in place of verbal or written requests given to teachers or staff. As always, we will do our best to accommodate the needs of every child.

About Us
Experience education like never before. Your journey starts here.
November in Review:
Our Band and Choir did an amazing performance of their Veterans Day Concert at The Peaks Senior Living Community as well as for our school. Sechrist's very own preschool teacher, Ms. Gray was nominated for Teacher of the Year! Our kindergarten friends spent time eating pie and learning with their 4th grade buddies. First graders marched through the hallways in the Balloons Over Sechrist Parade showing off characters from recent books they have read. The 2nd grade class concluded their Greek ELA unit with Potato Olympics. Third graders entertained families and fellow students with their Anansi and the Moss Covered Rock musical. Our 4th graders competed in the Battle of the Books finals for this semester and finished their Veterans Day essays. Some of them even got to share at the concert! Finally, the 5th graders collected 167 turkeys and $467 during their snowy turkey drive the week before Thanksgiving Break. We were also grateful to partner with Cub Scout Pack 7033 as they provided sides for families to have a complete Thanksgiving dinner.
