Recent Highlights

Wow! It has been a whirlwindy Spring!

Our preschool class is gearing up for graduation, and they enjoyed learning about flying insects. They even had a visit from Mrs. Overton as a butterfly. Kindergarten is enjoying their Count Down spirit days, and had a great time at Lowell Observatory. First graders just wrapped up Western Week, Yeehaw! The second grade classes learned all about the economy and were even able to earn some "money" at their market. As for third grade, they had a great time at Elden Pueblo this week! Fourth graders hatched their chicks and ducks and enjoyed some nice days at Walnut Canyon. Finally, we are soaking in our final weeks with our 5th graders! We were so proud of their hard work preparing for BizTown. They are ready to open their own businesses now.

We would like to thank you all again for encouraging your students to participate in the Trojan Trot, cheering them on while they ran their laps, volunteering at the event, and sponsoring or making pledges for us to earn money for our school. Your donations will support student learning and activities for next school year!

Looking forward, we are excited to wrap up with all of our end of the year activities. Some of our favorites are the Band and Choir Performance at Coconino Center for the Arts on May 12th at 5:30, Field Day on May 19th, the Awards Assembly on May 20th at 8:30, and the promotion celebrations. Please keep an eye on the communication from teachers so you don't miss something in your child's class.

If you haven't already started following us on Instragram or Facebook, we would love to share more up-to-date information with you. It is also a great way for our families and friends to see all the wonderful things happening at Sechrist.
